Is it normal to suffer pain with menstruation?

What type of anaesthesia is used in gynaecological surgery?

Most outpatient operations such as conizations or hysteroscopies are performed under sedation. Other interventions that are done vaginally are usually done under peri/intradural anaesthesia and laparoscopies under general anaesthesia.

How many days of admission do the surgeries require?

It depends on the operation. Many are ambulatory, and those that require admission are usually performed vaginally or laparoscopically, so 48-72 hours of admission will be enough.

When will I be able to go back to work or live a normal life after surgery?

Many gynaecological operations are performed vaginally, so there are no visible scars. In any case it is a priority for all members of the team to achieve the best possible aesthetic results.

Do anti-incontinence surgeries have good results?

It is important to make a careful study before indicating an anti-incontinence surgery. There are minimally invasive techniques that can be performed on an ambulatory procedure. Selected cases, well documented and in expert hands have very good results.

How long does it take on average for a healthy couple to become pregnant?

Surprisingly, a fertile couple that has sexual relations during the days close to ovulation can require between 6 and 12 months to get pregnant. Therefore, it is necessary to have patience and it is not urgent to consult a specialist at least until 6 months.

Is it necessary to take a vitamin supplement if you are planning to conceive?
